1. WHAT ITEMS DO YOU ACCEPT
We accept mid to high-end women’s clothing and accessories, including shoes, bags, jewellery, and more. All items must be in excellent condition with no visible signs of wear or tear. We do accept certain high street brands.
2. HOW DO I CONSIGN MY ITMES?
All items must be delivered in person to our outlet. Before your items are confirmed, images of each item must be shared via WhatsApp, following which we will review and agree on the terms. You will need to approved all details before items are displayed for sale.
For designer items, you may be asked to provide authenticity documentation, such as a receipt or certificate of authenticity.
3. WHAT IF MY ITEM NEEDS REPAIRS OR ADDITIONAL CLEANING?
We can not accept items that require repair or cleaning. At our discretion, items will be returned to you which you can return once repaired/cleaned to sale standards.
4. HOW ARE MY ITEMS PRICED?
We price your items based on thorough market research. We consider the item’s condition, current relevance, and its resale value in the secondary market. Typically, our resale prices range from 40% to 60% of the original retail price (RRP). The Selection by Source reserve the right to discount the sale price in order to secure a sale where necessary.
5. WHAT PERCENTAGE OF THE SALE PRICE WILL I RECEIVE?
You will receive 50% of the final sale price (exclusive of VAT) for each item sold. Please note that this percentage may change at the discretion of our business, but you’ll be informed of any updates.
6. CAN I NEGOTIATE A HIGHER % FOR HIGH-VALUE ITEMS?
Yes, for particularly high-value items, you may request a higher percentage of the sale price. Please make sure to negotiate this with us before we receive your item.
7. WHEN WILL I GET PAID?
Payments are made directly to your bank account within 30 days following the sale of your item/s, subject to any pending return requests. A minimum transfer amount of €50 applies unless it’s your final payment.
8. HOW LONG WILL MY ITEM/S BE LISTED FOR SALE?
Items are generally listed for a 6-week period. However, we may choose to extend or shorten this period at our discretion. The Selection by Source will contact you when you're items are no longer listed and allow two weeks for collection.
9. WHERE WILL MY ITME/S BE SOLD?
Your items will be sold in our Malahide store, and we may also sell them online or at events in the future. We reserve the right to decide which items are included in our advertising materials.
10. CAN I SELL MY ITEM/S ON OTHER PLATFORMS AT THE SAME TIME?
No, items consigned with us must not be listed for sale on other platforms such as Depop or Facebook Marketplace.
11. WHAT HAPPENS TO UNSOLD ITEMS?
We will confirm with you when your items are no longer listed in our store (typically following a 6 week period). We will allow you two weeks to collect your item's following which and (due to limited space facilities) we reserve the right to donate the clothes to charity.) .
12. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ITEM/S?
We assume responsibility for your items only once they have been physically received and approved by us. We are not liable for any loss or damage that occurs before the items are handed over to us.
13. CAN THESE TERMS CHANGE?
Yes, we reserve the right to revise and update these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Please make sure to regularly check our website for any changes.
